Two elephants die in train accident in Keonjhar
Two elephants were reportedly killed late last night after being hit by a goods train on the Jakhapura Bansapani rail track in Harichandanpur block of Odisha's Keonjhar district.

Keonjhar: Two elephants were reportedly killed late last night after being hit by a goods train on the Jakhapura Bansapani rail track in Harichandanpur block of Odisha's Keonjhar district.
According to sources, the accident occurred near Balidanda village of Tangiriapal panchayat in the block, which falls under the Brahmanipal range of Anandpur wildlife division, when a herd of elephants crossed the track.
Officials from the Forest Department, including the DFO for Anandpur, have arrived at the scene and begun an investigation, amid reports that another elephant was injured in the accident.
