Berhampur: On Tuesday, Odisha Vigilance sleuths raided properties linked to Kanhu Charan Patnaik, Forest Ranger of Digapahandi in Ganjam district, for allegedly amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The raid is being carried out at three locations, including his Berhampur residence, after Rs 1.58 lakh in unaccounted cash was recovered from the Ranger's possession while he was returning home from his office late last night.
The total value of the official's disproportionate assets has yet to be calculated because raids are still ongoing, according to a Vigilance official.
