Vaccination drive suspended in 16 districts
Bhubaneswar: For Thursday (July 1), Odisha has scheduled 114 COVID-19 vaccination sessions, with 72 of them taking place in Bhubaneswar.
However, the drive will remain suspended in 16 districts.
According to official sources, the districts are Angul, Balangir, Balasore, Bargarh, Bhadrak, Deogarh, Dhenkanal, Ganjam, Jajpur, Jharsuguda, Kandhamal, Kendrapada, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Sonepur and Sundargarh.
On Wednesday, 223 vaccination sites were open, with 65 of them administering Covaxin.
The state has a stock of 19,520 doses of Covishield and the next allocation is expected on July 2.
Odisha, however, has sufficient stock of 3,24,910 Covaxin doses, the official sources stated.
The state has so far administered 1,18,85,407 doses of the COVID vaccines.
