Utkal University aims for NAAC A++ grade
Bhubaneswar: Utkal University in Odisha's capital is striving for an A++ rating from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
The NAAC committee will be visiting campus soon to grade papers. "Efforts to transform the university into a digital campus are nearing completion." "Our key focus now is on boosting the university's research output and development," vice-chancellor Sabita Acharya told media on Saturday's eve of the institute's 80th foundation day.
The team will investigate numerous aspects of the university's curriculum, teaching, evaluation, research, infrastructure, innovative practices, staff strength, and extracurricular activities in the run-up to the grading.
The university received an A+ with a 3.53 CGPA in 2016. Last year, the grade expired. The varsity is linked with around 350 colleges.
Since the last NAAC grade, the university has undertaken a number of development projects on campus, including the establishment of a Centre for Innovation and Incubation, and Acharya is hopeful that the NAAC committee will approve the measures.
