Two siblings kids die of mysterious disease in Sundergarh

Sundargarh: Within 24 hours, two siblings died of an unknown sickness, and their mother and brother were hospitalised to a hospital in the district after becoming unwell as well.
According to sources, all three children of Indu Turi, a 33-year-old widow from Damalu village in the district's Lahunipada police limits, had been suffering from fever for the past few days. Indu had sought treatment from a local witch doctor.
Indu's 6-year-old son Ajay died on Monday, and the villagers buried her. Her eight-year-old daughter Ashrita died the next day.
Following Ashrita's death, the villagers admitted Indu and her 2-year-old kid Firu to Lahunipada CHC, where they were both suffering from fever.
Firu has been diagnosed with malaria and haemoglobin deficiency. TNIE quoted Dr Chinmay Sahu of the CHC as saying that his mother's test results for malaria, typhoid, and total blood count came back negative despite her having a moderate fever. Indu and her kid were both sent to the Bonai sub-divisional hospital.
Dr. Sahu speculated that Ajya and Ashrita perished as a result of an infection. He said that Ashrita's post-mortem report would show the reason of death.
