Three Union Ministers in Odisha for the International Yoga Day celebrations

Bhubaneswar: Thousands of people gathered across Odisha to celebrate Yoga Day. 75 historical sites around the country are commemorating the day, including three in Odisha: Jagannath Temple in Puri, Sun Temple in Konark, and Tampara Lake in Ganjam.

The ceremonies at Konark Temple were led by Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.

The celebrations in Puri were attended by Union Minister Mahendra Pandey, BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra, Puri MLA Jayanta Sarangi, and the party's state general secretary Lekhashree Samantsinghar.

Bishweswar Tudu, Union Minister, attended the celebrations in Khiching, Mayurbhanj district.

On this occasion, international sand artist Manas Kumar Sahoo constructed a sand sculpture near the lighthouse Baliapanda on Puri Beach.

To commemorate the day, renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik constructed a seven-foot sand sculpture of Modi practising yoga on a beach near Puri. Pattnaik used approximately six tonnes of sand to make the 'Surya Namaskar' sculpture.
