RAHUL GANDHI OFFERS CONDOLENCES TO FAMILY OF FORMER MP NITYANANDA MISHRA

Bhubaneswar: Former President of the Indian National Congress Rahul Gandhi expressed his deep condolences for the passing away of Former MP Nityananda Mishra. He today spoke to his son Bibhudatta Mishra, "Wishing the well-being of the departed soul and condolences to the family".

Odisha Congress in-charge Dr. A. Chellakumar expressed his deep condolences for the passing away of Former MP Nityananda Mishra. Talking to Bibhudatta Mishra, son of the late Mishra, he expressed his condolences to the bereaved family. He also informed Rahul Gandhi about the whole matter. Similarly, PCC president Niranjan Patnaik and Cuttack district Congress president Manas Chowdhury mourned the demise of the great figure. The late Mishra was a staunch Congress leader. He has made significant contributions to the cause of Congress.

Born in 1928, the late Mishra is known as a staunch leader of the Congress. From 1980 to 1989 he was a Member of the Lok Sabha from Balangir. He also served as PCC president in 1983. He began his political career in 1954. He was the General Secretary of the Youth Congress in 1956 after serving as the General Secretary of the District Congress. He was the General Secretary of the PCC from 1961 to 1967.
