Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department's regional centre has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms with lightning in one or two locations across the districts of Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj until 8.30 a.m. Tuesday (April 19).
According to the IMD's lunchtime advisory, the next two days are expected to be generally dry across the state. Light rain or thunderstorms are expected in one or two locations in the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, and Jajpur.
Until 8.30 a.m. on April 20, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, and Gajapati will be closed (Wednesday).
Similarly, light rain or thunderstorms are expected in one or two locations in the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Malkangiri, Koraput Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, and Kandhamal from 8.30 a.m. on April 20 to 8.30 a.m. on April 21.
However, from 8.30 a.m. on April 21 to 8.30 a.m. on April 22, a yellow warning has been issued.
From 8.30 a.m. on April 21 to 22, a thunderstorm with lightning is extremely likely to occur in one or two locations over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Balasore, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, and Koraput.
Similarly, thunderstorms with lightning are very likely to occur at one or two locations across the districts of Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Cuttack, Kendrapada, and Nayagarh from 8.30 a.m. on April 22 to 8.30
