CM of Odisha praises Ganjam's Sarpanchs for their COVID work

Berhampur: During his visit to Ganjam district on Sunday, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik met with leaders of panchayats at Tara Tarini temple.
During the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Naveen commended the committed service of panchayat representatives led by sarpanchs.
During the peak of the pandemic, when people from all over India were flocking to Ganjam, the sarpanchs were given the authority of a district collector and ordered to make judgments on how to handle the crisis.
According to Naveen, the district set an example and received accolades for its management of COVID-19, and the sarpanchs played a vital role in this.
The chief minister honoured the sarpanchs by giving them ladoos and Maa Tara Tarini's parsad.
