2 youths stranded mid Nagavali river; operation on to rescue them

Rayagada: In the Rayagada district of Odisha, two men who were stuck on a rock in the middle of the flooded Nagavali river have been rescued by firefighters. Sunami and Sudhir Nayak, two men from the Kashipur block of the district's Podapadi area, were stranded on the rock by the river's raging floods.
Firefighters arrived on the scene quickly and were able to save them.
The water level was low when the two guys arrived at the riverbed, but it quickly rose as a result of the constant rain. A boulder in the centre of the river was eventually scaled by the two.
They were saved by fire department officers who gave them life jackets and rope.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik applauded the members of the Odisha Fire Service for saving.
