Cuttack: On Tuesday, two students were critically injured when a ceiling fan fell on them inside a classroom while they were taking an exam in the Athagarh area of Odisha's Cuttack district.
According to sources, the incident occurred this morning at Gopabandhu Science College in the district's Athagarh area, while Plus II students were writing an examination.
The ceiling fan collapsed on two of the students, injuring them severely. Other students, however, were unharmed.
The two injured students were rescued by college staff and taken to a hospital, where their condition was described as critical.
The college administration is investigating the circumstances surrounding the ceiling fan's collapse.
