Berhampur: Another elephant was discovered dead in Odisha's Ganjam district's Mujagarh range. On Wednesday, the carcass was discovered near Tiliki village.
"It's a female elephant between the ages of 12 and 14. "Samples of the carcass will be sent for postmortem examination," said forest officials.
Though the exact cause of death is unknown, it is suspected that the animal died as a result of an intra-herd fight. On Tuesday, locals reported seeing an 18-member elephant herd in the area.
Notably, on Monday, an elephant died in this area. The carcass was discovered near the Jhilimili small irrigation project, which is part of the Binjhigiri beat house.
