Sonu Sood to be brand ambassador for Delhi govt's ‘Desh ke Mentor’
New Delhi: Sonu Sood, an actor and philanthropist, has been named the Delhi government's brand ambassador for a mentoring programme for youngsters. After meeting with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday, he made the statement.
“We appreciate Sonu Sood taking time out of his hectic schedule to help us. He is a source of inspiration for the entire nation. Thousands of people seek his assistance. It's a marvel that he's been able to accomplish what so many governments have failed to do. We talked for a long time about his work and I told him about the work of the Delhi government,” Kejriwal said.
“There is a mentorship programme run by the Delhi government. Many children are unsure of where they should go or what they should do. The Delhi CM remarked, "We are appealing to people to mentor such children over the phone."
“The Delhi government has set up a stage for all of you to speak up. It's a fantastic opportunity. I consider myself fortunate to be able to contact thousands of kids. There is no political content. We haven't talked about anything political yet,” Sonu Sood stated.
