Plus II First-Year classes begin in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The 2022–23 academic year's Plus II first-year classes began on Thursday in higher secondary schools all over Odisha. Classes for induction will start on Thursday and continue through September 24.

The Directorate of Higher Secondary Education issued the directive (DHSE).

In a letter to principals, DHSE director Raghuram R. Lyer stated, "Induction Class for Class-XI students is to be conducted at your Higher Secondary School from September 22nd to 24th, 2022 in order to familiarise the freshers to your institution.

The schools are required to provide separate stream-based induction sessions, which will include a welcome speech from the principal or another senior faculty member, an overview of the institution, and instructor introductions.

Additionally, students will receive information about the syllabus, tests, question format, timetable, and rules and regulations, including those against ragging.

So far, 3.7 lakh students have applied for admission.

Forms for entrance to the second phase may still be filled out till September 27. On October 1, the merit list for the second phase will be released. Admission will be available from October 11 to October 13. By October 22, the application procedure will be complete.

There are approximately 5.07 lakh seats available for this year.
