Odisha vigilance traps officer with Rs 15,000 bribe

Baripada: Satya Sundar Rout, the Raruan tehsildar, was apprehended by Odisha Vigilance on Friday in the Mayurbhanj district as he was collecting a Rs 15,000 bribe.
Rout and Bhanjakia Amin Kamal Lochan Patra were both caught. They allegedly requested the complainant's money in exchange for issuing Patta (Record of Rights). They allegedly wanted a total of Rs 40,000 from the plaintiff.
