Girls accuse the headmaster of inappropriately touching them in Odisha
Bhawanipatna: On Sunday, authorities apprehended Sashidhar Nayak, the headmaster of Gopinathpur Upper Primary School in the Thuamul Rampur block of Odisha's Kalahandi district, for allegedly sexually assaulting inmates of the girls' hostel.
Six female pupils filed a complaint alleging that the headmaster touched them improperly. "He would repeatedly storm into the hostel and misbehave with us. "He peered at the girls when they were washing and changing clothes, and he also inappropriately touched us," a hostel inmate stated.
The ST & SC Development Department has a 100-bed hostel for indigenous girls at the institute.
They further claimed that the headmaster threatened to expel them from the school if they told their parents about the situation.
Nayak, on the other hand, dismissed the claims and claimed that he was being set up. "One of the female pupils would routinely request leave for no apparent reason. "She threatened to falsely accuse me of rape," the headmaster explained.
