Five arrested for the murder of four brothers in Ganjam

Berhampur: Five people were arrested on Tuesday in connection with the death of four brothers, one of whom was a kid, at Pitala Chhak in Ganjam district's Hinjili police station.
The principal accused, Amiya Kumar Swain, has been named as well as Bahan Behera, Dipu Sethi, Chitrasen Sethi, and Santosh Swain. All five are residents of Ramchandrapur village, which is located under the Hinjili police jurisdiction.
Four brothers, Sambhu Swain, Raja Swain, Pandab Swain, and their cousin Chandan Swain, according to sources, were running a fast food store in Pitala Chhak. Amiya, Bahan, and Sambhu got into a verbal brawl on that fatal night after Sambhu objected to the passing of filthy remarks to customers.
Sambhu called his brother Raja, fearful that the situation would deteriorate. The atmosphere became tense, and an enraged Amiya threatened to kill the brothers. Amiya left the area only to return with weapons late at night. According to Ganjam SP Brajesh Ray, Amiya and his group attacked the Swain brothers and fled the scene.
The SP reported that murder weapons such as a wooden spade handle, an iron rod, and bamboo sticks had been seized, but that another suspect remained at large.
