Bhubaneswar: After Chief Minister and party president Naveen Patnaik returned from Delhi, the BJD staged a rally in Bhubaneswar as a show of strength. On the same day, the BJP announced the date of another high-ranking party official's planned visit to the state.

JP Nadda, the head of the BJP, will visit Odisha for two days starting on September 29, according to Golak Mohapatra, the state's BJP general secretary.

Nadda is anticipated to meet with MPs, MLAs, and senior party leaders to develop a plan of action to carry out Mission 120+, with Odisha serving as a focal point state for central leadership before to the 2024 elections.

Prashikshan Shivir, which will take place in the last week of September, will be attended by the national president, state BJP general secretary Prithviraj Harichandan earlier said to the media.

While national general secretary (Organisation) B L Santosh is due to visit the state later this month, BJP Odisha Prabhari Sunil Bansal is currently in the state and serving as the meeting's chair.

These consecutive trips follow Amit Shah, the BJP's senior strategist, calling for renewed efforts to unseat the BJD in Odisha on August 8. He had urged state-level BJP officials to swiftly prepare for the 2024 election and accomplish this objective. He informed party leaders at this location: "There is not going to be any softening towards the BJD, and a clear-cut message has been given to the party cadre."

Aparajita Sarangi, a BJP lawmaker from Bhubaneswar, informed the media that Shah had urged the state cadre to put in a lot of effort and develop a solid plan for 2024. Amit Shah ji stressed that if the BJP can establish governments in other states, why not Odisha, and we have been instructed to strengthen booth-level committees, she continued.

Bansal was nominated to lead the party's Odisha section after this visit, ostensibly to fortify the party machine in the state before elections. Bansal served as the organization's general secretary in Uttar Pradesh and was a key planner in the party's victory in the UP elections in 2017 and 2022.
