Addressing a press conference in Bhubaneswar a day after the budget was presented in the Assembly, BJP state general secretary Golakh Mohaptra claimed that the state is completely reliant on Central government funds.

The state government attempted to show big dreams to the people through the budget, but it is like a big school bag with insufficient learning materials, according to the BJP leader.

Claiming that farmers are suffering because the state government is not spending the allocated funds, he stated that new state government projects will be managed by diverting Cental funds.

He lashed out at the state government, claiming that no funds have been set aside for the establishment of cold storage facilities.

The BJP leader accused the state government of failing to provide basic necessities to people despite being in power for 23 years, and said the budget provides nothing for the people's welfare.
