Bhubaneswar: On the evening of June 13, the Indian Ambassador to Brazil, Mr Suresh Reddy, and Congress MP Neeraj Dangi hosted a diplomatic reception at the Indian Embassy in Brasilia. All senate members of Brazil, all Ambassadors of South American countries and other high dignitaries of Brazil were present.
Meeting with H.E. Mr Rodrigo Otavio Soares Pacheco, President of the Federal Senate of the Brazilian National Congress.
Interaction with Senator Mr Nelson Trad, President of India-Brazil Parliamentary Front in the Senate and Members (Senators) of the Front.
Meeting with Vice President of the Brazilian Congress, Mr Marcos Pereira and with Federal Senate Deputy Mr Vinicius Carvalho, President, India-Brazil Parliamentary Friendship Group and Members of the Group.
They paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi’s bust in the Capital city of Brasília. Next, they visited both houses of the Brazil Parliament at Brasilia viz Federal Senate (Upper house like we have Rajya Sabha) and the Congress (Lower house like we have Lok Sabha).
