New Guidelines To Schools For 2022-23 Academic Year

Bhubaneswar: During the academic year 2022-23, the Odisha School Education Programme Authority (OSEPA) has released a set of rules for schools to follow.

Anupam Shah, State Project Director, OSEPA, has urged all District Education Officers (DEOs) and District Project Coordinators (DPCs) to guarantee that students from Class I to VIII complete their programmes of study for the academic year on time.

Since schools will reopen after the summer holiday, Shah believes that education officials, including DEOs, DPCs, headmasters, and instructors, should plan ahead to guarantee that the current year's syllabus is finished. Furthermore, they must assist pupils in making up for the lessons they missed during the previous two years while physical education was suspended because to the COVID pandemic.

The OSEPA director issued the following guidelines for the schools to follow:

  • Headmaster of each school should discuss with teachers to prepare an annual lesson plan focusing on completion of the courses in time
  • The teachers should draw up separate plans to make up the studies lost during the pandemic
  • Time table (class wise and subject wise) must be displayed in each class for the benefit of students
  • The students, who would be found weak in any subject during periodical checking should be given extra care and attention by the school authorities
  • Such students would be provided extra study materials as well teaching hours
  • CRCC should keep a close watch on progress of studies in schools under their cluster and undertake inspection time to time
  • Safety and security of the students should be ensured
  • Child-friendly school environment should be ensured in each school
  • The headmaster should undertake supervision of all Classes and record it in the supervision register
