Centenarian freedom fighter Jitendriya Pradhan no more

Bhubaneswar: Jitendriya Pradhan, a centenarian freedom warrior from Odisha, died on Friday. He was 102 years old.

Pradhan, who was suffering from age-related diseases, died in the Bargarh district's Panimora village.

He joined the Quit India Movement when he was 23 years old, and he was imprisoned for it. Last year, on Kranti Diwas, he was honoured by the Bargarh Collector on behalf of President Ram Nath Kovind.

On Thursday, he tested positive for COVID-19 at VIMSAR, Burla.
