An explosion at a chemical factory in Anakapalli, Andhra Pradesh has left 18 people injured.

On Wednesday, a blast at a chemical factory in the Special Economic Zone in Rambilli mandal of Anakapalli district resulted in injuries to at least 18 workers. The blast occurred during lunch hours, originating from a reactor at the Escientia chemical factory premises. The injured individuals were taken to NTR hospital and a private hospital for treatment. Andhra Pradesh home minister Vangalapudi Anitha instructed the district collector and SP to visit the blast site and ensure that the injured workers receive proper treatment.
