Bhubaneswar residents protested the poor drainage system by urinating inside the BMC office.

Residents of ward-45 Sabar Sahi in Bhubaneswar staged a unique protest due to the filthy smell and poor drainage system in their area. They expressed their frustration by urinating in the chamber of the City Engineer in the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) office. This act of protest has drawn attention, with divided opinions among netizens.

The protest was triggered by the incomplete drain repair work in Sabar Sahi, which has been causing the flow of drain water into people's houses and creating a foul smell. Despite numerous complaints, the residents felt that their concerns were being ignored.

In response, the angry residents confronted the City Engineer at the BMC office to address their issues. Subsequently, they reportedly urinated inside his chamber to illustrate the unpleasant living conditions they have been enduring.

Amaresh Jena, the corporator of ward-45, expressed his frustration, stating that despite numerous complaints, no action has been taken. According to Jena, the BMC has been shifting the blame to other departments and failing to address the residents' concerns.

The BMC has not provided any comments on the matter.
